Marking Gradebook Assignment as Missing

You can mark individual student assignments as Missing in the Gradesheet in order for those assignments to pull on the Missing Assignments report. Similarly, if you have scored all the assignments that were turned in, you can mark all unscored students' assignments as missing and update the scores to 0 using the Mass Score option within the Gradesheet, which ensures that the students' grades reflect the missing assignment.

To begin, we’ll navigate to the Gradesheet feature within the Gradebook module. Let’s select the tile for the desired class we’ll be updating assignments for. Let’s expand the assignment we want to flag as missing and then select Enter Scoring Mode to enable the cells. If we wanted to flag any unscored assignments as missing and counted as zero, we can select the header of that assignment and then select Mass Score. Here, we can select the Mark Unscored as 0 and Missing radio button. Let’s save this selection. We’ll see that all the missing assignments have been updated. Now that you know how to mark gradebook assignments as missing, you can be sure that any missing assignments for your students can be identified appropriately.
