Downloading Reports
Downloading reports enables you to share reports between databases and troubleshoot report template setup. For example, if you create a report in a test environment in the software and wish to use it in the live version of the software, you can download the report and upload it into the live software. When the report is downloaded, the file type is .sxr. Downloading reports can also be useful if you are troubleshooting the setup of a report and wish to provide the file as an attachment on a Skyward service call.
If you think you have built a report that other Skyward customers might find helpful, we encourage you to upload your reports in the Community within Report Sharing, under Resources.

Downloading reports enables you to share reports between databases and troubleshoot report template setup. To begin, we can head to the Report Manager feature within the Reporting module. Once we identify the report we wish to download a copy of, we can select Download Report from the Record Options drop-down menu. We will then be prompted to save the report to our computer. This will create an .sxr file of our report. The file can then be shared with other Skyward users to be imported into another database. Now that you know how to download a report, sharing documents between different databases or districts can be a quick and easy process.
