Configuring Attendance Letter Posted Notifications
You can configure Attendance Letter Posted notifications to alert students and guardians when an attendance letter is posted to Family Access and Student Access. For example, if you wish to have a notification automatically sent to guardians once Attendance Letters are generated and posted to Family Access, you would set this notification up before generating Attendance Letters for your entity.

Configuring attendance letter posted notifications allows you to alert students and guardians when an attendance letter is posted to Family and Student Access. To begin, let’s navigate to the Notifications List within the Message Center module. We’ll add a new notification. We are configuring Attendance notifications, so we'll specify that here. The Notification field populates, and we’ll choose Attendance Letter Posted. Let’s click Next to continue. The Recipients field enables us to determine who we want to send this notification to. For this example, we’ll choose Students. We want current teachers and guardians to be carbon copied on the notification, so we’ll check the associated box in the Send CC to field. Filters are enabled after making the selection and can be utilized to narrow down the recipients of the notification. For our example, we will leave the filters open. Within the Message Filter field, we could further filter who should receive this notification. We’ll leave this wide open and continue. Under the Message Content heading, we can indicate the priority level of this message. If we choose a priority type of High, the message will appear with an alert indicator. The message will also appear in a different color. Let’s indicate that this message has a High priority type. We’ll enter a subject and message for this notification. We have the option to insert information specific to each recipient within the subject or message if we wanted. For this example, we want to make this message specific to whoever is receiving this notification. Let's click Insert Field and locate the Name folder. Let’s scroll down and double-click the Full Name (FL) option. We’ll notice that the name of the field has populated in the Message field, and we can finish the rest of our message. We can click the Preview Message option to see an example of how this message will display and then click Close. Let’s click Save and complete this process.
