Reverting a Report

Reverting a report enables you to quickly go back to a previous version of a report if recent changes are not producing the outcome you wish. This option provides flexibility within the report manager, allowing you to revert back to any version of the report if needed.

Welcome to reverting report to a previous version. To do this process, we'll navigate within the Menu, to the Reporting module, where we'll select Report Manager under Features. Once you identify the report we wish to revert to a previous version, we can access the Design Report option. In the upper right corner on the design report screen, you can see several options of things you can do with your report. Under the More button, you can access a Revert Report option. This screen lists all of the different report versions that have been saved with this report, and once you identify the version you wish to go back to, you can select that. The process will immediately update your report and you can see that my Report Header that previously was there is now removed because that was the change between these different versions. This has been reverting a report to a previous version.

  1. Select Menu > Administrative Access > Reporting.
  2. Select Report Manager under Features.
  3. Click the drop-down icon to the left of the report you wish to revert.

    If the report has a checkmark under the Skyward Maintained column heading, it cannot be modified.

  4. Select Design Report from the menu.
  5. Click More near the top right of the screen.
  6. Click Revert Report from the menu.
  7. Click Select to the left of the version you want to revert back to.
